Today we planted over 100 trees at the Jubilee Field, we went with our buddies and planted whips that had arrived from the Woodland trust as part of their tress for schools project.  We used a technique called Slit planting where you use your spade to make a slit in the soil and then put the sapling in the gap and close it back up.  All the trees needed a cane and a protector, so it was a big job!   We cannot wait to watch this woodland take shape and are looking forward to planting the next batch of trees in the spring.
